How to Write More Efficient JavaScript Conditions

Ug. Avoid the negative conditional when it’s just a branch. What’s easier to read? <code>if (true) do something</code> or <code>if (!true) do something</code>?
Instead of <code>if (!validcolor) return 'invalid';</code> do <code>if (validcolor) return 'valid'; .. return 'invalid';</code>
Easier to read and understand. I get where the author (who is 14 I might add) is coming from but logic FLOW is an important part of readability.

I like the way of explanation in this blog. Even for a small change like nested conditionals a good explanation with code is provided.

Though not intentionally, this post is misleading. When you say “more efficient” it usually implies better utilization of either time (cpu) or space (memory). I wouldn’t use it for describing the code itself.
Moreover, assuming that using an array instead of a switch statement is better is wrong. Sure, it might result in less code but it’s not necessarily more efficient in terms of space nor time of execution, at least not in its entirety. I would even argue that switch statements are easier to write nowadays with languages like TypeScript.
