Good article until the end; AI is not going to write any of my code, period. I’ll ask ChatGPT questions all day, maybe even copy/paste/adjust some code it wrote, but I simply don’t want AI in my IDE typing code.

It’s a matter of being able to do more in a day. (Or freeing up time for other stuff)

I have been trying GitHub copilot, and I don’t want it to write complete implementations, but it helps write code fragments like refactoring, etc. Similar tools for developers would make them more productive.

Also being passionate about workflow optimization, I think some of these techniques are underrated or overlooked by quite a lot of developers, even more experienced ones. I often noticed they use only a few and quite skeptical to change. But imo, the benefits of using them as a package skillset beat the risk of altering/breaking a workflow that’s already working .
