How I Take Smart Daily Notes as a Developer

I literally do the exact same thing. A bit more simplified and I will definitely take inspiration from this.
I have a PowerShell script that generates a templated mardown file with the format <code>YYYY-MM-DD-PomodoroLog.md</code> that contains a place to list my to-dos, meetings, and then a section where I can log my poms.
The format looks a lot like yours, because it’s Markdown so:

I’m optimizing it last few days, renamed it to daily_notes (since it grew to host more than the just the pomodoro logs) and I’ll adapt some of these into it.
I really like the idea of putting what you’re going to say at the daily standup. This will help get rid of the oh-so-not-professional “Uhmmms” during the daily.

I used to be so consistent with this and it fell off. The post inspired me to get this back in action. Created Notion templates and starting back up today. Smart Template Button to generate a page for weekly notes, a second on that page to generate a list toggle with the template.

daily notes I found a significant waste of time. it creates so much additional information that will just pile up and very difficult to shift through. project notes are preferred.
if you are working only on one project, then daily notes work. everything is about that project. the need to implement daily notes is subject to if your project workflow.

not sure if saving every slack message or email would be of help, definitely a kinda todo list to remember everything that is on the plate would help
