<p>So one day came across ollama and installed on my machine and i was stunned to see the magic of ollama. I can chat with models even without internet and complete in privacy.</p>

It supports mac, windows and linux. Double click on downloaded  software and follow the steps. <h6>How to run  it locally?</h6>
<p>First you need to pull a model from <a href="https://ollama.com/search" title="from" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">link</a>.
For example <code>ollama run qwen3</code>, first it will check if you already installed in it in your system or not. If you already installed it, it will run if not then will pull the model and then run.</p>
<p>Now you can pull other models also and play with that as well.

<p>Given that ChatGPT and others will run into issues from time to time, sometimes it nice to have something local. The best use case is if you can find a model that can do certain things well that you do not need to worry about using chatGPT. I like to use Ollama for some local inference like writing short stories, or some quick medical terms I need to look up based on what the doc is trying to tell me. If I need somethin g high level broken down at a grade level I can understand.</p>
