Anthropic has shipped Claude Cowork, a desktop app enabling agentic interaction with Excel and PowerPoint files, reportedly catching Microsoft off guard. According to the post, Microsoft is in 'code red' mode internally, acknowledging they should have shipped something similar first and are working on a response.
