AI leaders are increasingly adopting design principles to guide organizational AI transformation. Five key principles are outlined: hands-on use of AI tools to build fluency, observing how teams actually use AI to identify friction points, prototyping ideas to make them tangible and shareable, building critique processes to refine AI workflows, and investing in community for continuous shared learning. The argument is that effective AI leadership requires thinking like a designer, not just a technologist.
