The question is: will people watch AI generated movies or not? Nobody wants to look at AI generated slop on FB and other services, who then will watch fake movies?

I feel like they’ve missed the point. Sure they’ve gone for beauty but at the expense of natural character. It makes for a very superficial bland character.

This is the actual reason, they complain. Nobody gives a damn about “human connection” and nobody ever did, probably never will. At least on social media, especially something like Instagram. It’s all about looks and showing off. Nothing genuinely “human”, as we define it usually, about that. Stop crying and take the L to some AI generated thing.

I think what makes a good actor’s performance memorable is acting that hadn’t been done that way before. For now all that AI can do is replicate, imitate, but not create something completely unseen. I wonder when/if this will happen.
On the other side, though, the masses will not care about only average performance. They already don’t care about it in so many movies with only average acting and writing.
