Hindsight is a new AI memory system that goes beyond traditional vector databases by introducing a biomimetic, three-layer memory architecture: World (facts), Experiences (actions and outcomes), and Mental Models (derived insights). Unlike ChromaDB, Pinecone, or Weaviate, Hindsight supports reflection, temporal awareness, graph relationships, and learning from past interactions. It provides three core operations — retain, recall, and reflect — and combines semantic, keyword, graph, and temporal retrieval strategies. The system integrates with major LLM providers and can be deployed via Docker, local server, or API.
