Heroku has resumed accepting credit and debit card payments from Indian customers after implementing 3D Secure authentication to comply with Reserve Bank of India regulations. The platform had suspended Indian payments in 2021 due to new RBI rules requiring e-mandates for recurring payments. Heroku now supports the additional authentication factor needed for off-session charging and has built notification systems to alert users during the verification process, which can take up to 30 minutes.
