The tech job market slowdown predates ChatGPT and stems from economic factors, though AI may impact certain roles long-term. Product managers should learn AI tools, particularly for product discovery, but deep AI expertise remains niche. The industry still operates on the same fundamentals: building valuable, feasible, usable products within existing business models and organizational structures.
