Haiku OS now runs on M1 Macs on bare metal, without a virtual machine. The boot process uses m1n1 and u-boot to handle Apple-specific boot requirements, allowing UEFI images to boot from USB like a standard PC. All 8 cores are functional and the system boots to a desktop, though USB support is currently broken. This is an early milestone for both the Haiku ARM port and the M1 Mac port specifically.
