Hacker broke into FBI and compromised Epstein files, report says

A foreign hacker breached the FBI's New York Field Office in 2023, accessing files related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation. The intrusion exploited a server at the Child Exploitation Forensic Lab that was left inadvertently vulnerable by an FBI agent. The hacker reportedly did not know they had infiltrated FBI systems until agents revealed themselves on a video call. The FBI described it as an isolated incident and said it restricted the hacker's access.
