[GSoC 2026] Expanding the functionality of the Haiku Devices Application

A GSoC 2026 student introduction post by Leo Rouleau, a first-year software engineering student at Polytechnique Montréal. The project aims to expand Haiku OS's Devices application into a full hardware manager. Planned features include driver mapping with paths, graphical driver state management and blacklisting, deep USB and Bluetooth device inspection, hardware compatibility report export, and a bug tracker shortcut that pre-fills hardware specs into Haiku's Trac bugtracker.
