A Business Insider report revealed that xAI delayed a Grok model release for several days because Elon Musk was unhappy with how the chatbot answered questions about the video game Baldur's Gate, pulling high-level engineers off other projects to fix it. TechCrunch ran an informal benchmark (dubbed BaldurBench) comparing Grok, ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini on five Baldur's Gate questions. Results showed Grok performs comparably to other models on the topic, with mostly stylistic differences between them.
