GPT-5.5, OpenAI's latest model, is now rolling out on GitHub Copilot with general availability. It is designed for complex, multi-step agentic coding tasks and resolves real-world challenges previous GPT models couldn't handle. The model is available to Copilot Pro+, Business, and Enterprise users across VS Code, Visual Studio, JetBrains, Xcode, Eclipse, Copilot CLI, GitHub Mobile, and github.com. It launches with a 7.5× premium request multiplier as promotional pricing. Enterprise and Business admins must enable the GPT-5.5 policy in Copilot settings before users can access it.
