<p>It would be really cool if you could atomically operate on the queue and the database records at the same time. I briefly scanned through the article and couldn’t find something like that, though. I probably missed it.</p>


<p>I’m still a beginner at Go, hence trying to understand.
Why would this be a better option than just implementing a basic slice with channel and go routines?</p>
