Google is accelerating Chrome's release cadence from four weeks to two weeks, starting September 8th with Chrome 153. The change applies to desktop, Android, and iOS versions. Smaller, more frequent releases are intended to deliver security fixes and new features faster while minimizing disruption. The eight-weekly Extended Stable channel for enterprise users remains unchanged, though Google recommends the fortnightly stable channel for security-sensitive environments. This follows a similar cadence increase in 2021, when releases moved from six to four weeks.
