Google Stitch, a new AI-powered vibe design tool from Google, is put through its paces generating web and app designs from text prompts and hand-drawn sketches. The tool supports voice commands, design variants, predictive heat maps, and exports a markdown design system file. Results are compared against Claude and Codex, with Claude producing the most polished app design. Several features like code export, Figma copy, and prototype generation are still in beta and non-functional.
