Why are people appending “reddit” to their queries?

This article isn’t about “Google search is dying” but how google searches are censored and contain ads.

Anyone that uses it daily for so so many years, can clearly notice the decline.
If my search isn’t targeted (“site:”), I don’t have any hope of find anything, it’s like I am not even typing those words.
Also, I feel is too “safe” and I would never imagine using yandex, but here I am.

I agree with the author about Google search dying. It’s designed to return information that reflects paid commercial interests instead of factual results.

If you know how to google, then every result you get will be what you have expected.

Funny how I’ve been using the query + “reddit” for quite a long time before coming across this article, although I think it’s a natural next step when you’re getting too many noises from generic keyword searches.
