Google's ANGLE graphics abstraction layer has merged native Wayland support, removing the last known blocker for the Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF) to properly support Ozone/Wayland windows. A CEF issue tracking this progress has been open since November 2019. Once the updated ANGLE lands in CEF, native Wayland support for CEF-based applications should finally be achievable.
