Google is expanding its Gemini in Chrome feature to seven new countries: Australia, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Vietnam. The rollout covers both desktop and iOS (except Japan). Gemini in Chrome offers a sidebar assistant that can answer questions across tabs, connect to Gmail and Google Photos for personalized responses, schedule Calendar meetings, check Maps, and draft emails. Users can also transform web images using Nano Banana 2. The feature was first launched in the U.S. in January, expanded to India, Canada, and New Zealand in March, and is now reaching more markets. An agentic feature that can autonomously control the browser remains in testing and is limited to paid AI Pro and AI Ultra plan users in the U.S.
