Google Search results in general are bad. Google crawling is related to how often you publish, how many pingbacks you have from “high quality” sites, and a few others things I don’t remember off the top of my head.
I have an independent blog on the gaming industry and after 2 years Google barely indexed any of my content (but it had crawled it) and as a result my search placement was handicapped.
