Google has expanded its Agent Development Kit (ADK) with third-party integrations across five categories: development tools (GitHub, GitLab, Postman, Daytona, Restate), project management (Jira, Confluence, Linear, Notion), data and memory (MongoDB, Pinecone, Chroma), observability (AgentOps, MLflow, Weights & Biases, and four others), and workflow automation (n8n, StackOne). The framework is open-source, model-agnostic via LiteLLM, and supports Python, TypeScript, Java, and Go. The integration model uses ADK's McpToolset primitive, requiring only a few lines of config. Seven observability integrations at launch—including OpenTelemetry support—reflect Google's recognition that monitoring non-deterministic AI agents in production requires first-class tooling. Compared to Anthropic's MCP, ADK offers a curated, tested ecosystem with official partnerships rather than a flexible bring-your-own model.
