Every year for the last 5 years, the YouTube channel GMTK has held a game jam, one of the most popular game jams with over 7,000 submissions this year.  Interestingly GTMK publishes some data on what game engines are used each year, so we can see how game engine popularity (at least for game engines) is changing year over year.  The GMTK 2024 jam just concluded and this years' numbers are...  shocking.

Really like godot the most easy and understandable engine
