GNU Coreutils 9.11 has been released with significant performance improvements. The `cat` and `yes` commands are now up to 15x faster thanks to zero-copy I/O on Linux, with throughput jumping from 11.6GiB/s to 175GiB/s on Power10 systems. Other gains include `shuf` being up to 2x faster via unlocked stdio, `wc -l` up to 4.5x faster on ARM NEON hosts, and `wc -m` up to 2.6x faster for multi-byte characters. The release also adds multi-byte character awareness to cut, nl, unexpand, and expand commands, plus new compatibility options and date format parsing improvements.
