GitLab has released two beta features aimed at reducing CI/CD bottlenecks for platform and DevOps teams. CI/CD Job Performance Metrics adds a job-focused analytics panel that surfaces per-job duration, trends, and performance data directly in GitLab, eliminating the need for custom dashboards or log digging. The Container Virtual Registry creates a single GitLab endpoint that proxies and caches images from multiple upstream registries (Docker Hub, Harbor, Quay, etc.), simplifying credential management and reducing repeated pulls. Both features are available in beta on GitLab Premium, with stage-level grouping and IAM-based cloud registry support planned for future iterations.
