GitLab Duo CLI: Agentic AI now in the terminal

GitLab Duo CLI is now in public beta, bringing agentic AI from the Duo Agent Platform directly to the terminal. It supports two modes: interactive mode with human-in-the-loop approval for tasks like debugging pipelines and code creation, and headless mode for non-interactive automated workflows in CI/CD scripts. Security is addressed through prompt injection detection, composite identity for auditability, and custom instruction files that enforce least-privilege access for agents. Unlike IDE-focused AI assistants, Duo CLI is designed for automation, scripting, and environment portability across the full software development lifecycle.
