Ghost Pepper is a 100% local, hold-to-talk speech-to-text macOS app for Apple Silicon. Hold Control to record, release to transcribe and paste into any text field. It uses WhisperKit (small.en) for transcription and a local Qwen 2.5 LLM for filler-word cleanup. No data leaves the machine, no cloud APIs involved. Available as a free download or buildable from source via Xcode.
