pi-elixir is a BEAM runtime tooling extension for the pi AI coding agent that gives LLMs live introspection into running Elixir applications. It connects via Tidewave (for Phoenix apps) or an embedded MCP server, enabling the agent to evaluate code inside the running app, query databases through Ecto, inspect OTP supervision trees, read docs from compiled bytecode, and locate modules without grep. The extension provides 12 tools covering everything from process inspection to SQL execution, and auto-detects the correct BEAM connection per project with no changes required to the Elixir project itself.
