Git-Sim is a command-line tool written in Python that allows Git users to quickly and easily generate images (or even video animations) illustrating the impact of a Git command will have on the local repo. The primary goal is to create and visualize the effects of Git commands, while minimizing interruption to the developer workflow.

I gave it a try. It’s really nice to visualise merges and rebases. I’ve recommended it to my colleagues who are not as comfortable in git.

Every now and then you find yourself needing to perform some risky git operation, cleaning history, fixing broken rebases, rolling back commits, etc.
This seems really useful for determining if the command will actually do what I want, nice!
