GIMP 3.2 is the first major feature release since GIMP 3.0, introducing two new non-destructive layer types: Link Layers (similar to Photoshop's Linked Smart Objects, allowing external images to auto-update) and Vector Layers (created via the Path tool with adjustable fill and stroke). The MyPaint Brush tool gains 20 new brushes and auto-adjusts to canvas zoom and rotation. A new Overwrite paint mode lets you draw over colors without blending transparency. The release also improves interoperability with Photoshop, Krita, and Procreate, and is the last GIMP version distributed as 32-bit on Windows.
