GHC 9.12.4 has been released as a bug-fix update to the Glasgow Haskell Compiler. Key fixes include a critical code generation regression where sub-word division produced incorrect results, numerous register allocation bugs causing data corruption, several compiler crashes (CSE, simplifier, implicit parameters, type-class specialiser), LLVM backend miscompilation of bit manipulation operations, eventlog shutdown deadlocks, and RTS lost wakeups.
