From September 2026 Chrome releases will be every two weeks.

Chrome's platform is a leading web browser developed by Google, offering insights into web standards, browser features, and web development tools. Starting September 2026, Chrome will shift from a four-week to a two-week release cycle, beginning with Chrome 153 stable on September 8th. This applies to Desktop, Android, and iOS. Smaller, more frequent releases aim to deliver performance improvements, fixes, and new web platform features faster while minimizing disruption. The Dev and Canary channels remain unchanged. Extended Stable for enterprise users continues on its existing eight-week cycle. Developers are advised to test with Chrome Beta, which ships three weeks before each stable release.
