Gentoo has released experimental GNU/Hurd images, initially teased as an April Fools' joke about switching to GNU Hurd as their primary kernel. The images are available for testing in virtual machines, though real hardware support is limited due to Hurd's constraints. Currently only i686 builds are available, with x86_64 support as a future goal. The effort is similar to Debian GNU/Hurd and remains heavily experimental.
