Google has released Gemini 3.5 Flash at Google I/O, a new model series focused on agentic capabilities and coding. It outperforms Gemini 3.1 Pro on coding and agentic benchmarks including Terminal-Bench 2.1 (76.2%) and MCP Atlas (83.6%), while running 4x faster than other frontier models. The model powers the new Gemini Spark personal AI agent, is now the default in the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search, and is available to developers via Google Antigravity, Gemini API, Google AI Studio, and Android Studio. Gemini 3.5 Pro is also in development and expected to roll out next month.
