Announcing Rolldown-Vite
Rolldown-Vite is now available as a drop-in replacement for Vite, offering significant performance improvements through a Rust-based bundler. Early adopters report 3x to 16x faster build times and up to 100x less memory usage. The package can be installed by aliasing 'vite' to 'rolldown-vite' in package.json. Built on Rolldown and Oxc tools, it eliminates the need for esbuild dependency while maintaining compatibility with existing Vite projects. The transition will happen in three phases, with Rolldown eventually becoming Vite's default bundler.
