NVIDIA's second annual 'State of AI in Healthcare and Life Sciences' survey shows the industry has moved from AI experimentation to execution. Key findings: 70% of organizations are actively using AI (up from 63% in 2024), 69% are using generative AI and LLMs (up from 54%), and 85% of executives report AI is increasing revenue while 80% say it reduces costs. Medical imaging, drug discovery, clinical decision support, and administrative workflow optimization are the top ROI-generating use cases. Open source AI models are considered important by 82% of respondents, and 47% are already using or evaluating agentic AI. AI budgets are set to increase for 85% of organizations, with nearly half planning increases of more than 10%.
