From Microservices to Modular Monoliths

I just can’t understand. Look I’m not a total microservice guy but you complained a lot about people charging you because of microservices and your approach ended up seeming a lot like theirs. Very small and basic explanation about modular monoliths, which I’m also interested in, but just engough to quickly sell a course and itself. I don’t have a problem with selling things but that scaled way quicker and better than you say microservices usually do.

This blog post isn’t very well written, it doesn’t expand upon too much or really argue a great case for Modular Monoliths, it’s an advertisement for a course under a thinly veiled guise. I wish daily.dev wouldn’t publish low effort blog posts like this.

Either that article has a wrong title or it shouldnt be here at all.
It doesnt explain differences between modular monolith and a set of microservices (as promised in the title) and skips right on to the ad of a course where such explanation will be provided. No hate for the ad itself, but seeing a promise of an article locked behind a paywall leaves a sour aftertaste.
