I’ve been working more directly with cluster setup and environment configuration.
Connection strings.
Security rules.
Local vs deployed differences.
There’s a real shift between:
“It connects.”
and
“I understand why it connects.”
That difference feels important.
I’ve been documenting:

<li>Where Mongo differs from relational thinking</li>
</ul>
The documentation is starting to feel just as important as the code.
<h2>Prisma Integration Slowing Down on Purpose</h2>
Connecting Prisma to Mongo forced me to slow down.
Instead of just making models until things worked, I’ve been thinking more intentionally about data relationships and validation layers.
Some friction showed up around:

<li>How Prisma abstracts Mongo</li>
<li>Where validation logic should live</li>
</ul>
It’s not confusion in a bad way.
It’s the kind that forces better structure.
I’m using AI as a safety net, not the architect.
I design first.
Then I verify.
That distinction matters to me.
<h2>Next Direction Discord Bot</h2>
I’m planning to build a Discord bot from scratch.
Not just to have one.
But to understand:

<li>Command routing</li>
<li>Database syncing</li>
<li>Permission logic</li>
<li>Deployment flow</li>
</ul>
Before writing code, I’m building a planning canvas.
System design first.
Implementation second.
I want consistency across everything I build.
<h2>Documentation Becoming a System</h2>
The more I document backend decisions and architecture breakdowns, the more I see reusable structure forming.
Not rushing that.
It needs to be tested through real builds first.
But the foundation is there.

Mongo architecture.

Systems thinking.

This is what needed for most of the cases and this is where most of the people leave it, “It works” including me sometimes

Part of my struggle has always been requiring the why or the how for anything to stick.
It has its limits, but I’m sure most experienced developers know the well of why and even how goes DEEP regardless of where you start your tech journey and the number of years you have under your belt.
