Before KCD Sri Lanka 2025, our organizing team received an incredible opportunity to attend and speak at KubeCon events for the very first time.

CNCF's platform is a leading organization driving cloud-native technologies and standards, offering insights into container orchestration, microservices architecture, and cloud-native infrastructure. Through whitepapers, case studies, and community events, CNCF provides insights into adopting cloud-native practices and technologies. Developers and DevOps teams can learn about Kubernetes, Prometheus, and other CNCF projects to build and operate scalable and resilient cloud-native applications.

The KCD Sri Lanka 2025 organizing team shares their journey from attending KubeCon events globally to organizing a local conference. They introduced breakout rooms for parallel technical sessions, received over 100 CFP submissions and selected 20 talks, hosted international speakers, organized the first Battle of DevOps hackathon with a custom-built platform, and created networking spaces. Despite production delays on event day, the conference successfully brought KubeCon-level energy to the local community. The team is now planning future editions with expanded technical sessions and interactive formats.
