Humberto Costa built the HC SDK, a NASM-inspired assembler SDK for retro 8-bit computing, after finding that existing Z80 assemblers lacked NASM-style Intel syntax support. The project targets the 8080, 8085, 8086, and Z80 processors, with 6502 support in progress. It runs on macOS, Windows, Linux, OpenBSD, and FreeBSD, and is available on GitHub with both source and pre-compiled releases. Future plans include higher-level language support to make it a more complete retro development environment.
