Fresh is a new full stack web framework for Deno. By default, web pages built with Fresh send zero JavaScript to the client. The framework has no build step which allows for an order of magnitude improvement in deployment times. Fresh is a routing framework and templating engine that renders pages as they are requested, on a server. It also provides an interface for seamlessly rendering some components on the client for maximum interactivity.

So how is this better than using express and one of thousands of server side rendering packages?
Also you are contradicting your statements. Sending 0kb of javascript to the client and then you mention that some javascript is sent for interactivity?
Lastly, there is a reason why there was a movement from SSR to a SPA. Yes you ship the whole app to the browser, but hopefully you aren’t rewriting your app everyday so the browser should be able to cache the JS and load the app quicker the next load. Not to mention, having the clients render the app allows for lower server costs.
Make sure you understand the tradeoffs.
