France Titres (ANTS), the French government agency managing official identity documents including passports, driver's licenses, and national ID cards, has confirmed a data breach detected on April 15, 2026. A threat actor using the alias 'breach3d' claims to have stolen up to 19 million records containing full names, contact details, birth data, home addresses, and account metadata, and is offering the data for sale on hacker forums. ANTS has notified France's data protection authority (CNIL), the Paris Public Prosecutor, and national cybersecurity agency ANSSI. Users are advised to remain vigilant against phishing attempts via SMS, phone, and email.
