A bi-weekly roundup of free game development assets for April 2026. Highlights include DragonRuby Game Toolkit (a Ruby-based cross-platform game engine normally $48) going free for a limited time to celebrate its 7th anniversary. Three free Unreal Engine assets are available on Epic Games' Fab Marketplace until May 5th: a modern bridges pack, a deep water sea station environment, and a VHS/body cam video effects pack. The Unity Asset Store weekly giveaway is on hiatus until May 7th. Kenny released an updated factory/conveyor kit available free at kenney.nl. Several Humble Bundle deals for Godot courses and books from Zenva and GameDev TV are also mentioned.
