Peter Thiel's Founders Fund is approaching the close of its fourth growth fund, Founders Fund Growth IV, with approximately $6 billion in capital commitments — up from the $4.6 billion third growth fund closed less than a year ago. About $1.5 billion comes from the firm's own partners. The fund targets follow-on investments in late-stage companies and new opportunities, including a recent co-lead in Anthropic's $30 billion Series G at a $380 billion valuation. Notable portfolio companies include Palantir, SpaceX, Stripe, Ramp, Rippling, Anduril, and OpenAI. Despite aggressive growth-stage fundraising, Founders Fund has not raised a new early-stage fund since 2022.
