FOSDEM 2026 took place at a university campus as a free event for the open source community. Without a Java devroom this year, Java community members gathered informally and discussed plans to restore it for next year. Eclipse Foundation maintained a booth with nearly 20 representatives covering their 400+ projects, featuring popular activities like a prize wheel and daily Lego raffles.
