Fortnite has returned to the Google Play Store worldwide after nearly six years, following a settlement between Epic Games and Google in their long-running app store antitrust dispute. Under the settlement terms, Google agreed to allow rival app stores on Android with a one-time registration fee, and will reduce developer fees from 30% to as low as 10-15% on recurring subscriptions. Fee changes in the US, UK, and EU are expected by June 2026, with other regions following by year-end. The settlement also aims to address regulatory requirements in Europe and other regions.
