Ortus Solutions has launched skills.boxlang.io, a public agent-agnostic directory of AI skills for BoxLang, ColdBox, TestBox, CommandBox, and the broader Ortus ecosystem. Skills are portable Markdown files (SKILL.md) with YAML frontmatter that inject reusable expertise into AI coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Codex. The platform launches with 203+ curated skills and 8,000+ pre-announcement installs. Installation is via npx skills CLI or the ColdBox CLI 8.11. Community members can submit their own skills through GitHub pull requests, with automated security auditing before listing. The goal is to solve the copy-paste system prompt problem by providing a versioned, audited, discoverable registry of AI knowledge — analogous to what package managers did for code.
