Can’t put my finger on why this feels off

oh good a product literally no one wants or was asking for.

I just can’t see it how I will combine this device with my (non-touchbar) MacBook.
Where will I position it? And shall I reconnect each time when I’m using it? Nah, just can’t see it. Maybe if they lose the cable somehow…

Ok, its fancy. But for me as a programmer, all I need is keyboard most of the time. And for me this would be a diversion from my current workflow. If I get this, I would be thinking

and more… for me, I would’ve bought this, if it came with the entire keyboard with some knobs (optional).

I work on a MacBook Pro with an M chip, and for my projects I use the latest MacBook Pro with a touch bar. What a pleasure to have a touch bar. It’s a shame Apple abandoned it. A feature ahead of its time. I think they’ll bring the bar back someday.

While i agree that it looks cool, i just don’t see the advantages compared to a customized Stream Deck (other from the promise that native Linux - which distro btw - support is coming)
