Mini Diarium is an open-source, encrypted, local-only journaling app built with Tauri 2, SolidJS, and Rust. It uses AES-256-GCM encryption with a wrapped master key design, supporting both password and X25519 key file authentication (similar to SSH keys). All data stays on-device with no network access, telemetry, or cloud sync. The app supports rich text editing, calendar navigation, import/export (Mini Diary, Day One, jrnl formats), automatic backups, and runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux. It is a spiritual successor to the unmaintained Mini Diary project, rebuilt from scratch with stronger encryption and a modern stack.
